Why We’re Here
The Inclusion Sub-Committee is pleased to launch this monthly article series dedicated to strengthening inclusive culture within our College community. The Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Policy states that the College is:
“Committed to safeguard and promote diversity, equality and inclusion in all its endeavours and at all levels… providing a social environment where each and every individual is treated with respect and dignity and embraced as a unique person ...â€
This commitment should guide everything we do.
Introducing the Inclusion Sub-Committee
The Inclusion Sub-Committee has been set up under the College’s long-established Diversity Committee (created in 2014 and composed of staff, students, and administrative representatives).
Our role is to:
- Support inclusive practices
- Promote awareness, reflection, and conversation about inclusion
- Recommend improvements to policies and everyday practices
- Act as a bridge between students, staff, and the College’s leadership
Our aim is simple:
to turn the College’s inclusion principles into lived, everyday experiences for everyone.
