The Malta Employees Sports Association organised a one-day Over 35 5-a-side football tournament with the participation of five teams, namely, Armed Forces of Malta, Transport Malta, Central Bank of Malta, Customs Malta and last but not least, the University of Malta.
The round robin tournament, consisting of 30-minute games, was held at the G魔arg魔ur Football Ground on Thursday 19 May. The University of Malta team ended up in top place, winning all games with the following results:
vs Customs Malta 8-1
vs Central Bank of Malta 4-2
vs Transport Malta 3-0
vs Armed Forces of Malta 4-0
The University of Malta over 35 football team was made up of the following players Joseph Debattista, Patrick Catania, Robert Adami, Robert Salomone, Louis Facciol, Oliver Mallia, Alan Galea, Alex Portelli.
The UoM football team would like to thank Ms Jacqueline Fenech, Administrative Director of the Human Resources & Development Office, and the respective Heads of Department for their constant support during such important sports activities.
