The Faculty of Science in collaboration with the Department of Curriculum Management (MEDE) recently launched the Go4Research student internship programme.
A group of 21 students who participated in the Malta Junior Science Olympiad were offered an opportunity to work side by side with researchers conducting studies in seven different STEM fields namely Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Astrophysics & Astronomy, Mathematics, Geosciences and Statistics.
The Faculty of Science Dean Prof. Charles Sammut and Director of Curriculum Management Mr Gaetano Bugeja welcomed the students and wished them success in their new internship experience. The students were also greeted by Rector Prof. Alfred Vella and Parliamentary Secretary, the Hon Mr Chris Agius.
During the summer months the students will be associated with research groups within the Faculty of Science and will work on a wide range of interesting scientific projects under the supervision of researchers and other academic members of staff.
