The European researchers tackling the global challenge of chronic kidney disease
Dr Valerie Said Conti, a member of staff at the Department of Paediatrics within the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery is one of the European researchers tackling the global challenge of chronic kidney disease. Dr Said Conti is one of the researchers from 22 European countries to have set up PARENCHIMA (COST Action CA16103), a network that will boost the use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) biomarkers in efficiently managing chronic kidney disease. Dr Said Conti has been elected Vice-chair of this COST Action.
The overall aim of PARENCHIMA is to eliminate the main barriers to the broader study, commercial exploitation and clinical use of renal MRI biomarkers.
The first major event organised by the Action is an international Renal Imaging Symposium in Berlin on 11-13 October 2017.
