The Office of the Pro-Rector for International Development & Quality Assurance, headed by Professor Godfrey Baldacchino, organised a day programme on Tuesday, 6 June, for a delegation visit from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (TUCN) in Romania.
The members of the delegation, who visited the University of Malta, were Prof. Ing. Vasile Teodor Dadarlat (Vice-President of the Senate and Counselor of the Erasmus+ Office), Ing. Amalia Verde (Executive Director, International Relations Office) and Jur. Andreea Popa (Secretary, Erasmus+ Office).
The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca has developed a number of course programmes in English, and this visit will help to explore possibilities of developing links with specific departments at the University of Malta who will benefit from such collaboration. TUCN is one of the most prestigious technical universities in Romania and the most important technical institution in the North-West part of Romania.
The members of the delegation met with Prof. Baldacchino (Pro-Rector), Ms Anna Callus (Deputy Director, International Office), Mr Jake Grech (Erasmus+ Coordinator, International Office), and Chev. Dr Renald Blundell (Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine & Surgery). The delegation was also given a tour of the University of Malta campuses in Msida and Valletta.
