Dr Ruben Paul Borg, Senior Lecturer at the Faculty for the Built Environment, has been invited to lecture on structural engineering and durability of materials at the European Commission's Joint Research Centre in Ispra.
Dr Borg was invited to present key research findings in high performance materials in structural engineering, durability of materials in structures exposed to aggressive environments and recycling of waste and industrial by-products in cement based materials.
The invitation was also intended to strengthen collaboration in research in the sustainability and safety of reinforced concrete structures and innovative materials for enhanced durability in structural engineering.
