On 16 and 17 April, within the framework of an Erasmus + agreement between the Department of Conservation and Built Heritage, and the Institute of Archaeology, Al Quds University, Palestine, a seminar on Archaeology, Architecture and Conservation was held at the Valletta Campus.
The speakers included Dr Issa Sarie and Dr Ibrahim Abu Aemar, from Al Quds University, as well as speakers and participants from the Department of Conservation and Built Heritage, the Mediterranean Institute, Heritage Malta and the Restoration Directorate.
The seminar was well attended. Evening lectures by the two guest speakers were also held in collaboration with the Archaeological Society, Malta at the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage.
The Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM), is an EU funded programme which aims at fostering further cooperation with institutions located in non-EU countries. The visit from Al Quds University, was funded by the Erasmus+ ICM programme as a result of the awarded staff academic mobilities to the University of Malta.
