The prospect of designing digital games with African characteristics, and the study of the biota of West African forests were among the potential areas of collaboration explored between Ghana and Malta, following a courtesy call by H.E. Mercy Bampo Addo, Ghana's High Commissioner to Malta, on University of Malta Rector Prof. Alfred J. Vella, on 24 April.
Rector Vella also spoke about the fee waivers that the University of Malta is offering with respect to full-time postgraduate programmes of study and which are available to third country (non-EU) nationals and for which suitable candidates from Ghana can apply.
Malta will soon be opening a high commission in Ghana: the first Maltese mission in sub-Saharan Africa.
