Dr Nathaniel Massa, resident senior faculty at the Department of Management, was invited to join the Malta delegation participating at the Global Entrepreneurship Congress in Istanbul, Turkey (16-19 April 2018).
Led by Dr Leonie Baldacchino, national host for the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) and director of The Edward de Bono Institute for the Design and Development of Thinking, Malta鈥檚 participation joined that of business leaders from more than 170 countries at the congress.
The 2018 GEC edition gathered thousands of entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, policymakers and other startup champions from nearly every nation to identify new ways of helping founders start and scale new businesses around the world. Participation ranged from that of executives at established innovation-driven multinationals and organisations such as Coca-Cola, Facebook and the World Bank, to indigenous start-ups. At the GEC, delegates make live connections, share knowledge and experience, gain insights, learn about new research and leave ready to renew their programs and policy efforts. The congress draws together a broad collection of insights and voices from across the entrepreneurial spectrum who work together to explore the best approaches in helping to build one global entrepreneurial ecosystem towards bringing ideas to life, driving economic growth and expanding human welfare.
Discussions and sessions extended from social entrepreneurship to digital platforms and AI, as well as space entrepreneurship.
GEC 2018 was co-hosted by the Global Entrepreneurship Network, the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, and Tamkeen
