Professor Matthew Montebello has been appointed Honorary Adjunct Professor in the Department of Education Policy, Organization and Leadership at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign following a successful and productive collaboration. Professor Montebello, who is on a 2-year sabbatical, has been a visiting scholar at the University of Illinois during 2017 and 2018 as a guest of Professor Willaim Cope and Professor Mary Kalantzis.
During his visit as a scholar at the University of Illinois Professor Montebello contributed to the Computer Science / Education research group while working on new e-learning ecologies, assisting in the analysis of learning data, and taking a leading role in writing up results for publication. He also coordinated the research group鈥檚 publications efforts jointly with graduate students and teaching assistants, while delivering a number of resarch talks at the same university. Professor Montebello has been invited to join the doctoral committee for online EdD candidates at the college, as well as assisting in developing the next generation e-learning portal hosted and employed by the research group.
