The UM Library and most particularly the Special Collections Department would like to thank the family of the late Dr 臓u偶猫 Bartolo for choosing to donate a substantial number of Melitensia works, formerly belonging to their father, to the Library.
Dr 臓u偶猫 Bartolo, who was a lawyer by profession but who chose a teaching profession instead, (occupying the position of Headmaster), was deeply interested in the Maltese language and is responsible for having translated a number of works into Maltese including Hamlet (1971) and Makbett (1997). Most of the donated works have already been processed and are available for consultation.
