Dr Emanuel Buttigieg, Senior Lecturer in the Department of History, Faculty of Arts, was the keynote speaker at the Fall 2019 meeting of the 'Mediterranean Seminar' held at the University of Toronto, Canada, on the 4th and 5th of October 2019. The theme of the workshop was 'Violence in the pre-modern Mediterranean' and the title of Dr Buttigieg's lecture was '"Blood of God! Bowels of God!": Violence and the Order of Malta'.
