In the afternoon participants experienced the urban environment around University for themselves during an active workshop (walking and cycling), which was followed by a lively group discussion on active travel determinants and experiences.
Three Ph.D. students of the institute presented their ongoing research on walkability, bicycle sharing and vehicle detection technology.
The symposium was funded by the project, implementing sustainable mobility measures in island cities.
The organizers would like to thank all participants for their active participation and contributions. It is hoped that such events will help in the creation of a safe and pleasant environment for walking and cycling.
