The Kuwaiti students at the University of Malta, with the support of the , organised a celebration on campus to mark the 59th Anniversary of the National Day and the 29th Anniversary of the Liberation of the State of Kuwait.
This event which is held annually was well attended by staff and students of the UM who had the opportunity to learn about Kuwait鈥檚 history, traditions, dress, currency and savour sweets, tea, coffee and other local delicacies.
The event was opened by H.E. Dr Faisal G. Almutairi , Ambassador of the State of Kuwait and , Pro Rector for Academic Affairs .
UM's collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education of the State of Kuwait started in 2002.
A total of 63 Kuwait students are currently pursuing studies at the UM whilst 94 Kuwaiti students have graduated so far.
