from the UM’s Institute for Sustainable Energy has recently delivered the keynote speech at an e-Seminar on Sustainable Energy, attended by auditors from all across Europe.
Prof. Mule’ Stagno’s speech, titled ‘Renewable Energy Beyond 2020’, focused on sustainable energy solutions that would make climates more resilient and thus allow the world to keep thriving.
Organised by the European Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions’ Working Group on Environmental Audiing (EUROSAI WGEA), the e-Seminar was originally meant to be hosted at the Excelsior in Floriana, but given the current circumstances, it was instead streamed via Zoom and attended remotely by a number of academics and interested individuals from across Europe.
Other speeches at the e-Seminar included a session on Promoting Sustainable Energy, one on the fight against energy poverty and another one on the European Court of Auditor’s work in the climate and energy areas.
"Paradoxically, this crisis has highlighted what we can actually achieve and hopefully, it will make us re-think our priorities and act accordingly”, Prof. Mule’ Stagno told Newspoint.
Prof. Mule’ Stagno’s full presentation, as well as all the others, may be viewed in their entirety on the .
