Prof. PhD FIPEM, Coordinator of the Medical Physics Unit within the Faculty of Health Sciences earlier this year published the first ever book on leadership for the Medical Physics healthcare profession.
The book is part of the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine/ Institute of Physics series in Physics and Engineering in Medicine and Biology.

Although the Medical Physics profession is relatively new for Malta, it has made very rapid progress and is now well established as a warranted profession whilst the presence of Medical Physicists in hospitals is a legal requirement of the EU.
The first two cohorts of the MSc organised by the Unit have trained in the UK with funding from the European Social Fund.
Students of the MSc Medical Physics, which is open to Physics and Engineering graduates (course details are ) will be now given clinical training in Malta as we now have the necessary training infrastructure locally.
The Medical Physics Unit and Department of Physics also jointly organise the highly popular which offers the opportunity to study both Physics and its applications in Medicine and Radiation Protection.
