Preparations are in full swing for this year’s Campus Book Festival, which is being held in virtual format, between Wednesday 24 and Friday 26 March.
The Programme of Events has also been finalised, and includes the participation of a number of members of the UM community, who will contribute towards making this edition yet another success.
On 24 March, Prof. Keith Sciberras from the Department of Art & Art History together with students from will present the publication ‘Mattia Preti: Life and Works’.
Together with Theatre Lab Malta, Prof. Anthony Aquilina from the Department of Translation, Terminology and Interpreting Studies will lead the launch of the publication 'Kaligula', a work originally penned by Albert Camus.
Ms Cristina Aquilina from the , will participate in the book launch of ‘Leading Cases in Maltese Administrative Law’.
Ms Sephora Francalanza from , and Dr Michael Spagnol from the Department of Maltese, will lead a discussion titled ‘Il-Malti: Protagonist F’Ħażna DiÄ¡itali Ä dida’.
On 25 March, Dr Mario Aquilina from the Department of English together with some of his students will interview Mark Doty, the main guest for this year’s Campus Fest.
Dr Jean-Paul De Lucca from the Department of Philosophy will lead a discussion called ‘Philosophy at the interface with Technology and Artificial Intelligence’.
On 26 March, Prof. Gorg Mallia from the Department of Media & Communications will be part of a panel discussion titled ‘Leħen il-Malti: 90 sena, 40 edizzjoni’.
Dr Marie Avellino from the Institute for Tourism, Travel & Culture will participate in the launch of the book ‘Tourism and the Maltese Islands – Observations, Reflections and Proposals’.
Prof. James Corby from the Department of English will also be interviewing Mark Doty.
