The pandemic has not only taught us a lot about immunity and epidemiology, but perhaps more importantly, it is also educating us in many human values that by time we have lost or taken for granted. This was the gist of , and who are all alumni of the .
On 9 April 2021, an online conversation 'Il-Pandemija b魔ala Ta魔ri摹 g魔all-摩ajja' was held between Prof. Janet Mifsud from the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the UM; Dr Daniela Galea, Lawyer; Dr Jo毛lle Azzopardi, Consultant Respiratory Physician; and Mr Noel Borg, Senior Nursing Manager at CareMalta.
Hosted by Rev. Dr John Berry, dean of the Faculty of Theology, and moderated by Rev. Dr Carlo Calleja, coordinator of the Master of Arts in Bioethics, the event was organised by the Professional Ethics Platform of the Faculty of Theology.
The conversation was held in Maltese and streamed on the so that it would be more accessible to the general public. The viewers engaged in the discussion by posting their own live comments. Up to the time of writing, the conversation had over 3000 views.
The conversation was an experiment that turned out to be a success and the Faculty of Theology is planning more such conversations in the future.
