Campus FM, the University鈥檚 radio station, is introducing AGORA - its first LIVE socio-political talk show on Saturday mornings.
AGORA will be asking the toughest questions to investigate the truth behind the different aspects of Maltese society and politics. Listeners will have the opportunity to make their direct interventions through phone-ins. Programmes are hosted by Dr Mario Thomas Vassallo and produced by the Department of Public Policy.
AGORA will tackle a wide variety of socio-political themes on Saturday mornings, including climate change, political education, the police force, economic diversification, investigative journalism, the future of local farming, tourism and many more.
The first programme will go on air on Saturday 9 October 2021 at 09:30am.
On the day, the topic of the discussion will encapsulate Annual Budget expectation, given that the Minister of Finance is scheduled to deliver the Budget speech on Monday next in Parliament. Dr Vassallo will be interviewing economist Prof. Philip von Brockdorff, policy analyst Dr Marie Louise Mangion and negotiator Mr Joe Gerada. Additional interventions will be made by representatives of Caritas (Malta) and the Chamber for Maltese SMEs.
