Senior academic at the Department of Management, FEMA; and his international research colleagues from the Universidad de La Frontera, Chile, and from the University of Murcia, Spain – recently published part of their ongoing international research collaboration.
The paper entitled “Export Promotion Agencies’ Lived Turmoil, Response and Strategies in COVID-19 Times” has been awarded the best paper award at the ‘3rd Nordic International Business, Export Marketing, International Entrepreneurship and Tourism Conference 2021’, export marketing track.
This paper explores Export Promotion Agencies’ (EPAs’) turmoil endured amid the COVID-19 crisis. It investigates: The EPAs’ perspective on pandemic impact on exporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs); the pandemic impact on EPAs, their operations and response strategies; and EPAs’ perception and expectations post-COVID. Findings and insight from this research is currently helping inform policy and best practice for helping and assisting export activity amid global uncertainty in South American regions.
