The University of Malta has conferred the Degree of Master of Letters (Honoris Causa) on Ms Angela Callus, the Degree of Master of Letters (Honoris Causa) on Sr Joan Garner, the Degree of Master of Letters (Honoris Causa) on Mgr Victor Grech, the Degree of Master of Letters (Honoris Causa) on Rev. Dionysius Mintoff OFM, the Degree of Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) on Professor Gianrico Farrugia, the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Honoris Causa) on His Eminence Cardinal Mario Grech.
Ms Angela Callus could not be present for the ceremony in 2019, therefore the degree was conferred upon her this year.
The Ceremony was held at the Church of the University, Valletta, on Friday, 19 November 2021.
Professor Maureen Cole delivered the oration in honour of Ms Angela Callus, and Sr Joan Garner. Professor Raymond Mangion delivered the oration in honour of Mgr Victor Grech and Rev. Dionysius Mintoff; Professor Mario Valentino in honour of Professor Gianrico Farrugia; and Rev. Dr John Anthony Berry in honour of His Eminence Cardinal Mario Grech.
