The Faculty for Social Wellbeing is currently working on revamping the floor leading to its main offices in building Humanities B at the Msida Campus.
As part of the refurbishment, the Faculty has invested in setting up two wall murals. The murals, representing the Faculty's relationship with the community, with the themes 'Let's Connect' and 'Here to Engage' have also been set up to mark the tenth anniversary of its foundation.
"The setting up of our Faculty, in July 2012 has brought together a number of UM entities which address different aspects of social wellbeing", said the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Andrew Azzopardi.
The Dean stated, "Each of our departments contributes towards the welfare of society, in its particular way, according to its expertise. The different fields of knowledge are animated by the same utilitarian spirit and led by the same values of solidarity, empathy, social justice, empowerment, inclusion, rehabilitation, prevention and positive intervention amid the issues, the challenges, the aspirations and needs faced by people today."
