It is with deep sadness that we write this at her passing, but also sharing the great joy of celebrating Ethel Vento Zahra鈥檚 life.
Ethel was Visiting Senior Lecturer at the University of Malta contributing to our Department in the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, in the teaching of Leadership skills to Dental and Medical Students, with her background in Dentistry and Dental Public Health.
Guided by her knowledge, attitude and deep professional principles and values, she served students and colleagues with strength, humility, serenity, and a clarity of communication that was enriching, empowering, and deeply cherished. We grew professionally together.
A solid team player, she extended herself to provide. When her illness was taking major toll she continued to go the extra mile to ensure the provision of the voice of the professional and the voice of the dentist.
Ethel was and remains an inspiration to her students and to all of us engaged in the tutoring of leadership.
On the national scene, living her illness she was a shining light for so many, suffering with courage, acceptance, hope and positivity. Sincere condolences to all her loved ones, of whom she spoke with so much passion, care and love.
Dear Ethel, deep gratitude for what you have given all of us. You will not be forgotten and your spirit will continue to be with us and guide us.
