On Wednedsay 27 July, 2022, Dr Ing Emmanuel Francalanza, Head of Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering was invited to take part in an expert panel on the Transition towards a Human-Centric and Resilient Manufacturing. Together with Dr Francalanza on this panel were Prof Kerstin Johansen, from J枚nk枚ping University, Dr Susanne Vernim, from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and Dr Matthias Wolf from Graz University of Technology.
This panel was part of the 5th European Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management, hosted by the Sapienza University of Rome, and organised by the . During the awards ceremony held after the conference, Dr Francalanza was recognised with the Teaching and Learning award by the Industrial Engineering and Operations Management Society International, especially for his contribution in co-ordinating the ICARUS Erasmus+ project. When accepting the award Dr Francalanza thanked his colleagues in his Department for their continuous support, and for the international partners in the ICARUS project for their contributions.
