has been invited to sit on the Council of Observers of the National Health Observatory of the Ministry for Health of Luxembourg. The National Health Observatory was established by the law of March 2, 2021, in order to improve knowledge on the state of health of the Luxembourgish population, to contribute to the identification of public health priorities and to improve the quality and efficiency of the health system in Luxembourg.
The Observatory includes a Council of Observers which is responsible for adopting various reports and proposals of the Observatory, for developing its multiannual work programme, for the Observatory's budget proposals and for making requests for human or technical resources. The Observers are national and international experts from various backgrounds, intervening in accordance with their expertise to define, and to accompany the work of the Observatory and to guarantee its scientific quality.
Dr Kenneth Grech was appointed as an expert in health analysis and assessment, due to his international experience and expertise in health system performance assessment, including that of Co-Chairing the EU Expert Group on Health System Performance Assessment, a position he has held for the past 4 years.
Dr Kenneth Grech is a Resident Academic in the within the and Consultant Public Health Medicine in the Ministry for Health in Malta.
