The congratulates the seven graduates conferred with a Diploma in Adult Education, Training and Development on Friday 25 November 2022: Albert Cassar, Charlot Cauchi d'Anastasi, Heidi De Carlo, Denise Farrugia, Stephania Fenech, Edward Gatt, Rachael Lynn Vella.
The Department is grateful to the Directorate for Research, Lifelong Learning and Employability for the ongoing support; and to colleagues within and beyond the for the collaboration.
Adult educators and trainers are key to sustainable development when factoring in the increasing demand for lifelong education in the current multicultural, migratory, (post-) pandemic contexts challenged by limitations to health, financial, digital, political and media literacies.
The Department is committed to advancing the professionalisation of educators working in formal and non-formal education, training and development in Malta and Gozo; and to the struggle against the precariousness in this sector.
The Department looks forward to reaching future milestones. These include the graduation of students currently reading for the part-time evening course leading to a B.A. (Hons.) Degree in Adult Education, Training and Development; further research and outreach with public, private and civil society entities; formal recognition and professional warranting of adult educators and trainers by State authorities.
