Prof. , Associate Professor in the  and Head of the Access Disability Support Unit, has been appointed Deputy Editor of Disability & Society, which is the most prominent journal in the area of disability studies.
Disability & Society is published ten times a year by Taylor and Francis. It was established in 1986 as Disability, Handicap & Society, with the name being change to the current one occurring in 1994.
This journal has thus always formed an integral part of the development of disability studies as an academic area of studies, initially in the United Kingdom and, nowadays, on an international level.
