The , hosted Dean from the Faculty of Health and Nursing Sciences between 9-13 January 2023. The visit marks the first staff mobility of the project, Key Action 171, inter-institutional agreement set up between the two institutions to take place between 1 August 2022 and 31 July 2025.

The provides an opportunity for European Universities with an Erasmus Higher Education Charter to apply for funding for student and staff exchanges with Universities situated outside the European Union and the European Economic Area.

The purpose of the visit was to support professional development, increase the understanding of different cultures and explore possibilities of cooperation between the Department of Malta, University of Malta (UM) and Faculty of Health and Nursing Sciences, .

The visit included meetings with the Dean and Deputy Dean of the , Head Department of , Head , ’s and meetings with various academic members of staff of the respective departments.

The international dimension of the was presented by the Deputy Director of the , .

Dr Besarta Taganoviq, , delivered a public lecture on healthcare system organization in Kosovo and explained the structure, mission and activities of the Faculty of Health Sciences in Kosovo. Other teaching topics included women’s health and evidence-based practice. Possible future collaboration in projects the two institutions are involved in was discussed as well as a student exchange programme between the two institutions as part of the ICM programme.
