2022 marked the birth centenary of former Tanzanian President, Julius Nyerere whose contribution to African thinking on Education (including Adult Education) and Development has been significant. We recently mourned the passing of Bell Hooks who had a great influence on critical pedagogy. Both were celebrated through similar events during the year.
This year is the birth centenary year of Don Lorenzo Milani and the intention is to celebrate in a similar manner, attracting practitioners and scholars from different parts of the world.
