The National Book Council has recently announced the shortlisted finalists for this year’s book awards. In the category for “General Researchâ€, three of the five shortlisted titles are recent publications by resident academics within the Department of Art and Art History, .
The shortlisted book titles are the The Art of Dying Well, Visual Culture in Times of Piety and Plague in Malta, 1675-1814, by , published by Kite Group; Architecture – Visions on Paper – Malta, by , published by Kite Group, and In the Footsteps of Antonello Da Messina – The Antonelliani between Sicily and Venice, by , published by Midsea books.
The Department of Art and Art History has in recent years persevered in producing several high-quality academic publications by its resident academics and even graduate students.
The department constantly endeavours to disseminate its research within the local and international community and members of the public. It is also appreciative of the support and trust demonstrated by established local book publishers.
