On Friday, May 24, a collection of writings, entitled “Malta and Italy: Language, Linguistics, Film and Literature. Writings in honour of Joseph M. Brincat†(Malta e Italia: Lingua, Linguistica, Cinema e Letteratura Scritti in onore di Giuseppe Brincat), published by Midsea Books, was presented to ().
Prof. Brincat is one of Malta’s most prominent academics and his extensive research, which is also the result of his networking with local and foreign colleagues, has received international acclaim. His work covers various fields, amongst which Italian and Maltese languages and linguistics, cinema and the language of film, and literature.
The volume represents a collection of writings in his honour by Maltese and Italian scholars. They provide insights in relation to some of the areas of specialisation to which Joseph M. Brincat has given a significant contribution and for which he deserves to be honoured. The volume was edited by ().
