An exhibition at Villaggio Mancuso, in the Monaco area, celebrating the life of master of cinema, Vittorio De Seta has recently been inaugurated.
Titled Vittorio De Seta: Letters from the South, the exhibition is being held on the 100th anniversary after his birth.
Present for the inauguration of the exhibition was UM alumna, Dr Maria Gabriella Tigani Sava, who met the opportunity to spark cultural-related conversations with some of her colleagues about the importance of such initiatives to make the lives of those who heavily contributed to the arts and culture, known.
Dr Sava's work focuses on cultural, emotional, and Mediterranean studies rather than cinema, but she has a wide appreciation for this huge contributor to culture.
The exhibition will remain open until the end of August 2024.
It was made possible with the support of Miur and MIBAct thanks to the De Nobili Institute of Catanzaro, by the Cineteca della Calabria, and curated by Eugenio Attanasio and Antonio Renda with the collaboration of Lidia Elia.
