During the event, five UM projects were officially awarded Erasmus+ Funding. 

Three of the projects awarded funding were:

• TRAINEE - Advanced MR Training for Human-Centric Production Empowering Engineering Talent

Led by Dr Joseph Zammit, this project focuses on revolutionising engineering education through Mixed Reality (MR) technology, fostering innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity in higher education.

• EDUwear - Engineering Educational Competence Development on Customisable Wearable Rehabilitation Devices

Led by Prof. Philip Farrugia, this project aims to enhance engineering competence development in the design and customization of wearable rehabilitation devices, driving impactful advancements in education and healthcare.

• L-STEAM — Learning STEAM Through the Performing Arts

Led by Dr Edward Duca, the project wants to embed STEAM educational approaches in schools in Malta, Greece and Portugal. The approach has been developed in Greece and trialled in Malta and Portugal; the hard part will be to see how the approach can become mainstream and self sustaining. The project is looking out for local schools to collaborate with, so send an email if interested.

This collective success presents a compelling narrative and further emphasises UM's leadership in securing Erasmus+ funding with the aim of driving innovation in education and research.
