On 21 October, University of Malta Racing (UoMR) held START HERE, an introductory meeting for all University of Malta students interested in joining the team. The meeting was held at the University of Malta Msida Campus.
During the meeting, the president of UoMR, Kurt Dalli presented the Formula SAE competition and UoMR's story so far while team leaders Matthew Buhagiar and Fabio Cauchi presented the business and engineering side of the project.
During the meeting, UoMR also announced the team's plans for the near future and explained its organisational structure as well as membership expectations and benefits. Newcomers were also given the opportunity to apply to become team members and were presented with the choice of working on either the business or the engineering side of the project.
The meeting ended with Lisa Pullicino from PwC Malta, one of the team's sponsors, who gave a small presentation regarding the firm's career opportunities.
Last but not least, event attendees were invited to the UoMR Garage to have a look at the team's racing cars and get a first impression of the team's work space.
