The Faculty of Engineering offers tuition and supervision at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The undergraduate programmes of studies are designed to enable students to grasp the engineering fundamentals while providing them with enough breadth to direct their studies towards various sectors of engineering. The degree programmes give graduates both job flexibility and the ability to further their studies in various engineering fields at postgraduate level.
Past graduates have been enjoying excellent job and postgraduate study opportunities in highly regarded companies and universities worldwide. Currently there are 420 undergraduate students and 61 postgraduate students at Master and Ph.D. levels. The Faculty has been very active in research in various disciplines of engineering which are relevant to both national needs as well as international science and engineering communities. The Faculty has attracted considerable funding to upgrade its laboratories to state-of-the-art facilities. Moreover, faculty members were highly successful in securing competitive research funds on both national and international levels, publishing in high profile international journals and conference proceedings and owning a number of European and international patents.
