The National Observatory for Living with Dignity, one of the five entities that constitute the research wing of the President's Foundation for the Wellbeing of Society, has recently published its first study titled 'Early School Leaving and Wellbeing in Malta and Beyond: A Statistical Analysis'.
In the words of the Chairman of the National Observatory for Living with Dignity, Professor Carmel Borg, "This study aims to contribute to the ongoing analysis, debate and efforts focused on the reduction of the early school leaving rate by providing relevant evidence for understanding potential links between early school leaving and various aspects of wellbeing...let's hope that this document will convince us that early school leaving is not and never can be in the best interest of a morally just and enabling society."
Copies of the document may be obtained free of charge from Professor Carmel Borg.
Professor Borg is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education, University of Malta.
