Two studies by Lino Briguglio on economic resilience have been published in the USA (by the IMF) and in France (by Odile Jacob publishers).
The International Monetary Fund publication includes a chapter by Briguglio entitled 'Building Economic Resilience in the Small Pacific Island Countries' ().
The other article is a chapter in a book published in French on Resilience. Briguglio's study is entitled 'Résilience économique' ().
Both studies argue that small states can adopt policies that enable them to withstand their inherent economic vulnerability. The IMF study focuses on the Pacific island states whereas the French study explains the conceptual underpinnings.
