University of Malta staff and students who are currently reading for a Ph.D. attended a 'writing retreat'. The 'writing retreat', which is part of a series of continuing development for Ph.D. students, was very-well attended.
The workshop was organised by the Faculty for Social Wellbeing Doctoral Programme sub-committee comprising Dr Clarissa Sammut Scerri, Prof. Paul Bartolo and Prof. Maryanne Lauri. The writing retreat was run by two academics, Dr Dawn Duke and Dr Sam Hopkins, from the Researcher Development Programme, University of Surrey, United Kingdom.
During the 2-day workshop, held on 2 and 3 December, participants had the space to focus exclusively on their writing, away from distractions and with the opportunity to consult with a writing mentor.
