An article on the Solar Research Lab at the University of Malta was featured in issue 55 (January 2017) of 'Engineering Today', the Chamber of Engineers' quarterly magazine.
The Solar Research Lab at the Institute for Sustainable Energy is located at the University of Malta M'Xlokk campus. The primary focus of this state-of-the-art laboratory, which was co-financed under the European Regional Development Fund 2007-2013, is cutting-edge solar materials research: the specialised equipment enables researchers to study optimal material choices and set-ups in the field of renewable energy systems.
This Lab was conceptualised by Prof. Luciano Mule’ Stagno who envisaged that the Institute for Sustainable Energy would become a world-class centre of excellence in solar research.
