University of Malta Rector, Prof. Alfred J. Vella, visited the MCAST main campus in Paola recently, accompanied by Pro Rectors Prof. Joseph Cacciottolo, Prof. Saviour Zammit and Dr Carmen Sammut. The Rector and Pro Rectors met Dr Silvio DeBono, Chair of the MCAST Board of Governors, and Principal Mr Stephen Cachia, as well as other members of the Board of Governors and the Registrar.
With both institutions having a key role to play in the Maltese tertiary education system, discussions focussed on ways of building synergy and enhancing cooperation between the two institutions, for the benefit of students, and the importance of student work placements in industry.
