Delegates and Ph.D. students at the Valletta Campus
Between 6-7 November, the Institute for Tourism, Travel & Culture (ITTC) hosted an international development seminar at Msida and Valletta. The seminar focussed on the development of an Erasmus Mundus M.Sc. application for Tourism Development and Culture.
Delegates from the University of Glasgow (Scotland), Lund University (Sweden) and University Institute Lisbon (Portugal) attended the meetings. The seminar also facilitated a Ph.D. forum and students from each of the universities were given the opportunity to advise on the M.Sc. initiative and present their current research and discuss their research progress at a separate forum event.
Professor Andrew Jones , Director of ITTC said that this was a very successful event which consolidated the Erasmus Mundus consortium established between the universities and provided a platform to prepare an application for Commission funding for the 2018-2019 academic year. He also said that the meeting also established a basis for some exciting future collaborative research initiatives.
