Project meeting held in Malta 17-19 January 2018
The Department of Early Years and Primary Education, Faculty of Education at UM, through the participation of Prof. Suzanne Gatt, is partner in the ERASMUS+ project TEST – Teaching Experimentation in Science and Technology. This project aims to promote the development, testing, implementation and dissemination of innovative pedagogical methods in science education.
During the first part of the project, UM has offered a Level 7 CPD 5 ECTS ad hoc study-unit on supporting teachers in the implementation of inquiry-based learning in science.
The project is coordinated by the Istituto Comprensivo Statale "L. Fibonacci" Italy and has partners from Italy, Greece, France, and Malta. The project partners met in Malta between 16 and 19 January to discuss the training taking place in each partner country and worked on the development of the Manual for teachers of primary and secondary schools wanting to teach science through inquiry.
The final conference of the project is to be held in Pisa at the end of May 2018.
