The project 'The EU Songbook' aims to assemble the first songbook for the European Union. It exchanges national song treasures in both national languages and in English translations. The European Union Songbook organisation has, together with qualified music teachers, music students, and choir singers organised the project.
The choice regarding which songs to be included is being completed through a democratic voting process by citizens of the EU member countries. After a round of Maltese song nominations, with participation by teachers and students from within the School of Performing Arts, a public song vote was launched in November to help Dr Albert Pace, the appointed EU Songbook Editor for Malta, decide which six Maltese songs should represent Malta in the first songbook for the European Union.
To participate by casting your vote, please and follow the instructions.
This project helps to improve the cultural exchange between the EU member countries and it aims to promote the unity across these countries.
