Dr Alexandra Mifsud, from the Centre for Environmental Education and Research (CEER), has led the design, delivery and implementation of sustainability training days for employees, being organised by the Malta CSR Institute recently, set up by HSBC Bank Malta p.l.c.
The training programme, which has a specific focus on water conservation and management, has been designed through the application of the core principles of Education for Sustainable Development whilst embedding the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The project will train a total of 500 employees from HSBC as well as other corporates across the Maltese Islands.
It has project partners representing public, private entities and civil society, namely HSBC Bank Malta p.l. c., The Energy and Water Agency (Malta), Nature Trust, QPML, Malta Business Bureau, and AG Landscapes. Furthermore, it is supported by Prof. Simone Borg, Malta's Ambassador on Climate Action and Prof. Paul Pace, Director at the Centre for Environmental Education and Research.
