The Department of Nursing in collaboration with the Trinity College Dublin, School of Nursing and Midwifery held a one-day seminar on the 21 May 2019, titled Reforming leadership in Healthcare, at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Health Sciences. Over a hundred and fifty health care professionals attended the event which was chaired by Dr Stephen Lungaro Mifsud, Deputy Dean, FHS. Focus groups discussions about Distributed leadership, amongst the speakers and health care professionals from the private and public health service and education sectors were carried out after the seminar.
  Dr Roberta Sammut, Dean, FHS, University of Malta and Prof Elizabeth Curtis, Trinity College Dublin welcomed the attendees, whilst, His Excellency, Mr Patrick Duffy, Ambassador of Ireland to Malta, delivered an opening speech noting the existent collaborative relationship between Malta and Ireland and the respective education systems.
  Speakers included Prof Martin Beirne, Professor of Management and Organisational Behaviour, University of Glasgow, Prof Sandra Buttigieg, Head of Department of Health 福利在线免费 Management, University of Malta , Prof Ruth Northway OBE, Professor of Learning Disability Nursing, Faculty of Life Sciences and Education, University of South Wales , Prof Siobhan Corrigan and Dr Vivienne Byers also from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland.
