What is your message from your angle as a nursing student to prospective students in light of International Nurses Day?
Nursing is a challenging job. There will be moments of happiness and laughter, as well as tears and frustration. You will have good days and bad days. There will be times where you will feel like quitting and giving up. Cry it out, there鈥檚 nothing wrong with that, but keep going. The impact that you will leave on people鈥檚 lives and the fact that YOU have made a difference will make it worth it!
Never miss out on a learning opportunity and keep on asking questions. You will always learn something new. Make friends and support each other. Remember that you are not alone in this. Above all, be kind to yourself. I can鈥檛 stress enough how important it is to take care of both your physical and mental health. Make sure you look after yourself first, so that you be able to give your all to your patients.
