Despite the postponement of this year’s LifeCycle Challenge by the LifeCycle (Malta) Foundation due to the COVID-19 restrictions all over the globe, Nescafé re-confirmed its sponsorship agreement.
The 21st challenge will still be sustained through the sponsorship, which will be dedicated towards a new research programme on polycystic kidney disease at the University of Malta, and towards the Renal Unit Support Health Hub (R.U.S.H.).
LifeCycle (Malta) Foundation is working hand in hand with the University of Malta’s kidney disease research team through the University’s Research Trust (RIDT). Besides, LifeCycle Foundation generates awareness about organ transplants in Malta.
LifeCycle Founder, Alan Curry, said the Committee agreed to move the challenge to February of 2021, and have come up with 21 February until 6 March as the tentative dates.
He also said he is well aware that raising the money will be an issue, however the team is working behind the scenes to generate new ideas to help raise the necessary funds. The strong participation of the team participating in the Argentina/Chile challenge is also very encouraging.
