In the first of a series of visits planned at the various educational institutions across Malta, recently-appointed Education Minister, Dr Justyne Caruana, visited University of Malta Rector, Prof. Alfred J. Vella on Monday 7 December, to discuss future plans for the University.
These were discussed in light of the University .
UM Rector gave the Minister an update on the projects being undertaken at University, both those of academic and those of infrastructural nature. The work at the University was also discussed, as was the University's COVID-19 protocols to ensure the safety of all on campus.
Prof. Vella remarked that the extensive upgrades of the infrastructure are being done in order to meet the growing needs of the UM community.
The Minister was accompanied by Permanent Secretary, Dr Frank Fabri.
