Welcome to Malta, the island of Knights Hospitaller. Since the rule of Knights Hospitaller Malta has always been associated with advanced health services. Over the years, the Maltese people have retained and improved this reputation. Our University has played a pivotal role in this process and it is no surprise that both local and international students consider health-related programmes as our flagship courses.
At UM we teach in English and we offer medicine and surgery (MD), nursing, dentistry and pharmacy degrees to students who are seeking a career related to health.
So if you apply for one of these courses and you鈥檙e accepted you will undertake the practical component at the national state-of-the-art hospital. Our dental teaching clinic is situated right next to the dental emergency room at the hospital. The MD students conduct their practice in the medical wards of this hospital under the supervision of top local specialised consultants. Our nursing students are also expected to practice in the wards.
For the first time this coming October the Dental Surgery Faculty is offering a scholarship in the form of a discounted fee to the top 5 non-EU applicants.
We also offer foundation courses that prepare students to gain access to the MD or Dentistry programmes and to nursing programmes.
