has been working within the University Directorate as a Senior Legal Executive for the past 9 years, servicing mainly the Knowledge Transfer Office. Ruth graduated from the University of Malta in 2009 with a Doctor of Laws and holds a Magister Juris degree in EU & Comparative Law. She was admitted to the bar in 2009. She lectures in the LL.M. in European & Comparative Law course at the Faculty of Laws. She also delivers lectures to a number of Faculties, including an Intellectual Property course at the Edward Debono Institute and at the Doctoral School. She is also an examiner and thesis supervisor. While her main area of expertise is intellectual property law, she practices in a number of other areas including contractual, commercial and corporate law.
She is also the company secretary of a number of University-owned limited liability companies. By virtue of this new appointment, Ruth will be responsible for work coordination of intellectual property matters including research results, publication and publishing, licensing, research ethics; IT matters; library matters; MATSEC issues and due diligence processes.

In 2010, she was promoted to Senior Legal Executive and has, since then, mainly serviced the Office for Human Resources Management & Development. She graduated from the University of Malta in 2007 with a Doctor of Laws and holds a Diploma in Canonical Marriage Cases Jurisprudence and Procedure. She was admitted to the bar in 2008.
With the Legal 福利在线免费 Directorate, apart from employment law, Dr De Giovanni practices in a number of areas including contractual law and litigation. She also acts as Secretary on the Senate Committee on the recognition of Student Societies. In her role as Legal Coordinator, she will be responsible for litigation and court matters, claims, conduct and disciplinary matters and coordination of legal trainees.
